Customer Service Representative – Service Focused with In-Book Sales Opportunity Jim Rottkamp State Farm Full-Time | In-Office (Hybrid Eligible After Training)

Jim Rottkamp State Farm is seeking a highly service-driven Customer Service Representative who takes pride in helping people, solving problems, and delivering a high-quality customer experience. Work Environment
• In-office during training and onboarding • Hybrid opportunity available after training (up to 2 days per week remote)
Licensing Requirement (Job Contingent)
This position is contingent upon obtaining required insurance licenses.
• Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start (full support provided) • We provide guidance, resources, and support to help you successfully complete the licensing process
Role Overview
As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, supporting policy needs, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a seamless and positive experience. This role is primarily service-focused, with the opportunity to contribute to growth by identifying additional coverage needs through thoughtful, needs-based conversations.
Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, accuracy, and contribution to retention and growth.
Responsibilities
Answer customer inquiries and provide clear, accurate policy information
Assist customers with policy changes, updates, endorsements, and billing questions
Support customers through the claims process and follow up as needed
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions
Build strong relationships to support customer retention and satisfaction
Identify opportunities to enhance coverage and pivot service conversations into in-book sales
Collaborate with team members to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience
Ensure compliance with agency standards and applicable regulations
Qualifications
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Effective communication and active listening abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer experience
Comfortable discussing coverage options and recommending solutions when appropriate
Prior customer service experience preferred
Ability to meet licensing requirements outlined above
